-
- There is nothing on page 2 of my manual about the type of SIMM to use on the
- board. Page 2 talks about how to set the jumpers for different size SIMMs.
-
- However, at the top of page 7 there is a note.
-
- "NOTE:
- The DKB 2632 is not meant to work with any other Memory Modules except
- 32Bit Wide Modules. If you install 36Bit wide Memory Modules you will void
- your warranty."
-
- This note is in a shaded box to make it stand out. Page 7 describes the
- different type of SIMMs you can use. About a third of the way down the page it
- says.
-
- "The only warning is that you must only use 32Bit Wide SIMM Modules. The 36Bit
- Wide SIMM Modules are not recommended for use in the 2632 and will void your
- warranty if they are installed because they have extra parity chips installed
- on them that the Amiga does not use and can lead to drawing too much power
- from the Amiga."
-
- So it appears that DKB changed their mind about 36Bit SIMMs. I wonder which is
- the current position. I guess you can't go wrong by always using 32Bit SIMMs.
